Battle of Britain Memorial Visit

Some 90 Year 8 students visited the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne in early February. The students in Year 8 are currently studying World War 2 so the visit was timely.

45 students travelled each day. The students enjoyed a guided tour of the site even if it was windy and quite cold. Once inside it was to the interpretative center with the simulator of the cockpit of a Hurricane being the highlight for everyone. Some enemy planes were brought down even if a large number of birds and wildlife suffered from the inexperienced students fliers.
