£3.90 per hour

St John’s is seeking an individual who can work efficiently and effectively as part of its Learning Support team. The post-holder will work in a secondary school environment to support students in achieving their targets within the SEN Department. The apprentice will work under the guidance of teachers and other support staff in helping students achieve their potential in a mainstream setting. They will need to show regard to the processes of learning and the needs of both pupils and the school. Their demonstration and mastery of skills will enable them to achieve a NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Supporting and Learning in Schools. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate team working and excellent punctuality.

Salary will be Kent Range 3, Actual Salary per annum £14,700 (FTE £17,365)

An opportunity has arisen within our Support Staff structure for the right candidate to join our Learning Support Team. .

We are looking for a caring, understanding and pro-active candidate to support our visually impaired students so that they may achieve their academic potential. Emphasis is placed on the appropriate personalised strategies and interventions for each student, which will enable them to successfully manage their social, emotional and academic development.

The successful candidate will need to integrate within our friendly team as well as needing excellent communication skills to develop a good relationship with students and staff.

Experience of working in a similar role in an educational setting is essential. Successful applicants will be expected to undertake a DBS check.
