We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Teacher of Science. The successful candidate will join one of the school’s most successful and popular departments, working and collaborating with an exceptionally committed and talented team of practitioners. The department has a flourishing and varied Level 3 curriculum provision that includes BTEC Applied Science, A Level Biology, A level Chemistry and A level Physics.  The opportunity to teach Chemistry or Physics at Key Stage 5 may be available for a suitably qualified and/or experienced candidate. An ability and interest to teach Chemistry or Physics at Key Stage  5 is welcomed but not essential for the post. Applications are invited from experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers who possess the skills, enthusiasm, and commitment necessary to ensure our students succeed and develop in our nurturing Catholic community.

St John’s is a very successful Catholic School that offers an excellent educational provision to its students in wonderful facilities.  The Progress 8 score achieved by the school has been positive in each of the 4 years since the measure was introduced and the school’s 2019 Provisional Progress 8 score is projected to place St John’s in the top 20% of all schools in England. GCSE results are very impressive indeed and exceed all FFT targets with 60% of students achieving a grade 4+ in English and Maths in both 2018 and 2019.
