BATTLE OF BRITAIN MEMORIAL VISIT

Fifteen students from the International Club, visited the Battle of Britain Memorial, Capelle Ferne in mid-January. The International Club is aimed at students whose heritage is from other countries and is run every Thursday by Mrs Perera. The focus of the visit was to draw attention to the contribution made by pilots in the Battle of Britain. These pilots came from Poland, the Czech Republic, France and elsewhere in Europe. The fifteen students along with Mrs Perera and Mr Murphy, were taken on a tour of the memorial site. The ongoing work of the students, will be collated into a study on the contribution of these European pilots and of shared Heritage.
