Clash of the titans - Staff vs Sixth Form Football Match 3 - 2
As with every year at St John's in good spirits our Staff play our Student Sixth Form team at a game of football on the field after school. Allowing their fellow students to watch and enjoy and this year was no different with such a titanic clash between two excellent teams. Unfortuneatly for the Sixth Form team despite playing extremely professionally they failed to follow up on an excellent goal scored in the first half loseing 3 goals to 2 by the end of the game.
The sixth form players were (back left to bottom right) Arvind, Tayo, Ephraim, Patrick, Jeremiah (Captain) , Nathan, Husnan, Tope, Riedwan, Farhan, Arvind, Sean, Dominic, Luca, Tobias. When interviewing the team captain Mr Ward for the Staff team he said about the match. "The Sixth Form team gave us a real challenge this year they had excellent pace and played with their hearts on their sleeves, we as staff could not be more proud of the excellent young men these students have become and their dedication to football as a sport, it was an honour to play them."
