Battle of Britain Museum Visit

Battle of Britain Museum Trip

An exploratory trip to the Battle of Britain Museum at Capel-le-Ferne near Folkestone took place on Tuesday, November 15th. Some 15 students accompanied by Mr Murphy and Mrs Buckingham arrived early at the site. The group were taken on an extensive tour of the site to include a detailed look at the ‘Spitfire’ and ‘Hurricane’, ‘Bob’ the dog, the pilot who sits gazing across the chnanenl and the Memorial Wall. It was then inside to experience the quite amazing Battle of Britain room with its extensive audio visual displays. After lunch and a visit to the shop it was back to the school.

The staff on site were quite fantastic and most obliging. All in all, excellent and thoroughly recommended.

A quite amazing trip.
