UCAS Information

Our offer comprises of both an academic pathway featuring a range A’ Level courses (minimum entry criteria 5 x GCSEs at grades 9 - 4 including/plus English and Maths at grade 4) and a vocational pathway consisting of a range of BTEC courses (5 x GCSEs at grades 9 - 4 including English or Maths). Subject to meeting individual subject-entry criteria, some of our students embark on a mixed programme of academic and vocational courses.

Because of the varying ability of our students, we currently enter students for both AS and A2 Level academic qualifications. As a school we feel this gives both us and the students a good indication as to their progress over the first year of A Level study and will encourage improvement if the results are not favourable. Our predicted grades however are based on the student’s capability and work reflected in the second year of their studies. Our students do declare their AS results but as a lot of schools do not enter their students for AS Level since the reforms, we request that Universities place more emphasis on the predicted grades and GCSE grades when considering students for courses. Please be aware that due to the cancellation of the May/June examination series, students applying in 2021 will not have any AS results, only predicted A2 grades.
